REVIEWS FROM PAST DIAMONDS LAXERS:

“Our family made the decision to move to Diamonds Lacrosse Club (from another local club team) because we wanted the best lacrosse teaching available for our daughter. Coach Yeakel and her staff have coached at all levels; including recreation, club, high school and Division I college. This experience gives them perspective on how to coach girls of all ages and abilities. The practices at Diamonds are the most organized and informational of any practices held by our many previous coaches. The environment at Diamonds is serious, but is very respectful and positive. Our daughter comes home from every practice excited to tell us what she has learned. At Diamonds it is not all about wins and losses, but about advancing the skills of each player individually and as a team.  In addition, Coach Yeakel’s knowledge of recruiting is unmatched. As a former college coach, Coach Yeakel has recruited college athletes and understands the recruiting process. Coach Yeakel has been a wealth of information on how to communicate with college coaches, what to expect on visits and what questions to ask coaches. The individual time that Coach Yeakel has spent advising our family has been instrumental in creating our college prospect list that will fit our daughter’s needs academically while also matching her level of play.  Coach Yeakel also has many college coaching contacts that she draws on to help advocate for her players. It has been the best decision to move to Diamonds and we wish we had done so earlier!!”

“The recruiting process for Women’s lacrosse can be very stressful and at times overwhelming. Monica made the process for our family enjoyable and stress free with her guidance and leadership. She led our daughter through the entire procedure from start to finish, monitored her progress and encouraged her to choose the school which was the best fit for her academically and athletically. Monica’s passion and love for her players and lacrosse was evident in the recruiting process. Thanks to Monica our recruiting process was wonderful”.

Hey Coach Mon, it’s Julia Piet! I’ve been meaning to text you for a little while now. Just wanted to say thank you for all your help in the recruiting process and all that you’ve done for me as a coach as well. I am so happy at Catholic and am so grateful for your help with getting me here. We finished our fall ball season and I think it went really well and am excited to see what the spring has in store.  I definitely felt very prepared coming into the team and I’m really grateful for that!  This is just a small example, but during a couple practices this fall we were working on stick work doing partner passing and in between passes holding one hand at the bottom of our stick and bringing it down to our feet on both sides of us. A lot of people were struggling with it but we had done drills like that at Diamonds practice before so I felt really comfortable with it and more prepared than even some of the older girls. Anyways thanks again for everything.  I hope all is well with you and all of the Diamonds community and hope to see you soon
